Description of Services
MTDify provides:

Local Edition — software that runs privately on your computer

Lite Edition — software that runs on your self-hosted server

Installation Service — optional one-time installation on your VPS
MTDify does not provide:

Cloud hosting
-
Tax submission services
-
HMRC integrations
-
Financial advice
-
Accounting services
User Responsibilities
You agree that:

You are responsible for all data entered into MTDify

You will maintain your own backups
-
You will validate any tax calculations or summaries

You will comply with HMRC record-keeping laws

You will keep your software and system secure
-
You are solely responsible for tax submissions

You are responsible for securing your server (Lite Edition)
No HMRC Submission
MTDify Local and Lite do not connect to HMRC.
You are responsible for manually submitting your tax information.
No Data Storage By Us
We do not:

Store your financial records
-
Have access to your database
-
Process or host your data
-
Maintain your server
-
Provide backups
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MTDify is not liable for:

Financial loss

Data loss

Tax penalties
-
Incorrect calculations

User data entry errors
-
Server misconfiguration
-
Security breaches on your server/device

HMRC decisions
Your use of the software is at your own risk.
Installation Service
If you purchase installation:

You temporarily grant us SSH access

We install the software only
-
We do not monitor, maintain, or guarantee uptime

We do not take responsibility for your server after installation
-
You must remove our access once installation is complete
Refund Policy
MTDify is a digital product that becomes accessible immediately upon purchase.
Refunds are not offered except in cases where:

The product is defective

The installation service cannot be completed
We do not offer refunds for:

Change of mind

Inability to self-host

Misconfigurations on your server
